Hi everyone!

This week post is a special one...because it's Part.1 of my personal Spring 2016 style essentials!
I'm so excited to show the other photos for Part.2! (will be previewing them throughout the week on my IG) :)

My style essentials revolve around simplicity in dressing, not excessive and also mixing classic fits with trends. I believe its best for the clothes speak for themselves!

First style essential this year for me is the faux suede moto jacket; the most versatile piece I must say!

I love styling this jacket with anything from midi dresses, trousers and jeans. Since I'm petite in height I always look for moto jackets that fall just above my hips, so my other clothing pieces don't
overwhelm me (especially when layering). I actually purchased this jacket a few years ago and I always bring it out for Spring/Summer because, the light beige colour pairs with any neutral or pop of colour.

Second style essential is my fave pant trend of the moment ; the culotte!

I'm obsessed with how flattering they look because at first I wasn't really "feeling" this style.
On a shopping trip with a blogger friend (shoutout to Nav!) she encouraged me to try them out.
Similar to the moto jacket I opted for a cropped style that falls a bit beneath my knee and styled with
blocked heel laces up to help balance the shoes!
Expect to see more of these pair culottes (and maybe another colour LOL)
Culottes can be styled with anything; a dressy blouse, crop top, knitted sweater to leather jacket.

Third style essential is ; one of my favourite pair of shoes, the block heel.

Cut out , lace up blocked heel styles have been popular since last year. This year they have luxe updates like tassels and coloured heels and laces. I always opt for black (surprise surprise :P )
These are my go to shoe to make a simple outfit look pulled together and stylish.

Part 1 is a wrap, I hope you all enjoyed it and can't wait till you see Part.2!

What are your style essentials or favourite spring pieces?

Thanks for reading,

Christine
